Not All There
Last time: Ahryl gave birth to twin girls who are way too cute for their own good. She also had a little plantsim baby, who is also cute, but not as cute as the twins. There were lots of birthdays, Ois (by maranatah) caught all of his fish needed for the G1 goal, and both Ahryl and Ois maxed their nature enthusiasm completing that goal as well.
This time, there's more birthdays, the garden club accepts Ahryl and gives her a present, more goal completion and someone moves out!
The kids were enjoying the warmer weather of summer, until my game decided to make my sims burst into flames for no reason at all. After all of my sims died a couple of times and exiting without saving, I figured out it's a glitch with seasons and patched my game and installed the simwardrobe fix for this problem...but it persisted. So I removed summer from my season rotation and it fixed the problem! But the kids enjoyed their one and only summer while it lasted.
Ahryl was busy working on her garden and was accepted into the Garden Club, another first for me in gameplay.
Ois was busy fishing, what else? And he is pretty good at catching fish now! All of these were from one marathon fishing session, so Ois really brings in his share of income.
He did still have time to do enjoy himself and do the things he loved. He enjoyed star gazing and really hoped to meet some aliens, although at this time he still never has. And he spends lots of time with his lovely, leafy wife.
Ahryl finally grew the rest of the crops that she needed for the last G1 goal: grow all types of plants/trees. These are peppers, eggplant, pole beans, and strawberries. Who knew pole beans were purple?
Another plant in the house was doing rather well...Hemlock spent a lot of time studying skills and helping his mother in the garden. But he really started to want a family and a life of his own.
Celder became a very handsome teenager. He picked Romance as his aspiration and has a LTW to become a Rock God. But if he becomes the heir, that might not happen. Oh well, sorry Celder!
Celder had a want to go out and buy a cell phone, so he walked on down to the Simmy Shops, another fantastic community lot by selenaq13. He bought a cell phone and learned how to Break Dance before he got too tired and had to run home to bed!
Celder gets along pretty well with his sisters. He sometimes wishes they were boys instead though. They don't like the stories he reads to them, and he refuses to read about princesses and ponies. And he really can't take all the jump roping tournaments they have anymore! But he loves them anyway (because I force him to!).
Ahryl spruced up her garden a little bit with some landscaping and sculptures, and the Garden Club awarded her the coveted Wishing Well. Now the family gets $1,000 a day, unless the wish backfires, in which case they still get $50. I haven't tried the other wishes yet, but I really need to do that.
And then it was birthday time for the girls again! The whole family gathered and cheered them on.
Here's the twins, newly teen-ified and beauty-fied! This is where I figured out that Wylla was supposed to have purple hair. She grew up into a purple hair that an alien way up in the family tree had (from the pollination exploration that bred Ahryl). This means that Ahryl is supposed to have purple hair too. Oops!
Wylla became a Family sim with a LTW to reach the top of the Education career. Again, won't happen if she becomes heir.
Vesper became a Pleasure sim and wants to be a Celebrity Chef when she grows up. I don't want to sway anyone's opinions because I plan to hold an heir poll...but I love Vesper so much!
The house got some upgrades due to all the funds coming in from Ois' fish, Ahryl's garden, digging, and the wishing well. A new eat-in kitchen was added and decorated and a new bathroom was added on, which you can't really see here. Oops.
Hemlock had a persistent want to have his own little spore baby, but I didn't want anymore babies in this house so he moved out! He wanted to move out too, so it made him happy. We'll check in on him later in a spares update...once we figure out who's the spares that is.
Hemlock might have been happy about moving out and starting his own life, but his mommy wasn't happy about it at all. She didn't want her baby to move out and she went a little crazy. But she'll be okay and bounce back from this. She's got three hormonal teens living in the house to keep her busy! (Her aspiration level was so low because they only wants she would roll had to do with Celder, Wylla, and Vesper going to college...so I couldn't complete any of her wants! Doh.)
Accomplishments:
- accepted to Garden Club (not a goal, but still fun to do)
- received the Wishing Well reward (again, not a goal but really fun)
- grew strawberry, pole bean, pepper, and eggplant crops (completing "grow every plant" goal)
- all Generation 1 Goals completed!!!!!
