Sum it up

We had a pretty busy weekend, as all of ours will be before the big move.  We're trying to pack in as much as we can.  Friday night we had our Planescape game.  It was our last one in person.  It went pretty well.  Ryan was bored because there was only one fight and his character missed it.  Saturday was my Eberron game.  It was a dungeon crawl so

I was hoping you'd take it as a compliment. He just reminded me of you, in a good way! I could totally see you playing that role just as well, if not better! =)

Yes I have. It was really good. Its one of Dan's new favorite movies.

Have you seen Idiocracy? Its by the guy who did Beavis and Butthead and Office Space. Its about the future too. Its based on the fact that the dumb people in our society breed like rabbits, and the intelligent people tend to put it off. Well what happens if they put it off so long they can no longer have kids and all that's left are stupid people's children. The movie isn't that great, but the concept behind it is.

i have seen it. a guy i met in Chicago kept raving about it so i rented it as soon as it came out. you're right, the concept is great but it is extremely stupid.

Honestly, I've been busy enough lately that I wasn't quite as prepared for Friday's game as I probably should have been...though even if I had been more prepared, there probably wouldn't have been much fighting this session. Hm...I think I have to focus more on making sure there's some fighting every game, so Ryan gets to feel useful (although his character does do plenty of non-fighting stuff; he just doesn't give himself credit for it ( ... )

Regarding Ryan, its hard to please him. I would have thought the Crying Fields were an ideal situation for him, and he told me he had fun, but I he was reading comics when it wasn't his turn. That doesn't really give me the impression of having fun, you know? Its hard to find a good balance because you also have players like me who aren't crazy about fighting. =)

Thanks for the compliments. Really the only time you guys would have had a death was Ryan's character and the assassin. You've been able to bypass all the cool death traps because the rogue is so good at disabling them! You guys are doing really good considering it is a dungeon designed for a party of level 16's and I haven't adjusted any of the stats other than having the assassin paralyze vs. kill the rogue.
