A minor altercation with a dragon some time ago. Obviously I lost.

Yes, dragons do exist in my world. They are obviously quite dangerous.

Do they breathe fire? Collect treasure hoards? Kidnap princesses?

[He chuckles a bit at the last two items.] They do breathe fire. A shield can be effective against that. But the others? No, the dragons are usually peaceful enough if left alone.

Breathing fire is pretty cool. But otherwise, they sound pretty boring.

Sometimes things being boring is better. There is a kingdom that exists where the dragons live, and I'm sure those people would prefer not to be attacked often.

But if they're a kingdom, then they'll just be attacked by other kingdoms.

The end is pretty much the same, anyway. It'd be more interesting, if they get beaten up by dragons.

But it generally is better if all creatures can live in peace with each other, right? Then people don't get hurt or killed.

It wouldn't be much of a war if you didn't kill people. And you can't be very good at fighting wars if you don't like killing.

That could be part of the reason why I lost to the dragon.
