Better now

As I mentioned in the comments to yesterday's entry, Mum is up and hobbling again. God, what a scare! I'm so glad it looks right now (fingers crossed!) like it was indeed just a scare from too many treatments at once, but holy shit. I know how frightening such things are when your parent is at that certain age.

I hope you will have the time to recover and treat yourself to something nice as a breather.

That would require more me-time than I've had in the last four years, I'm afraid.

She doesn't get it when in pain. It usually comes when she eats something that doesn't agree with her or that proves to be too hard for her remaining teeth (all four of them, all of them a bit wobbly).

Yesterday must have been dreadful! I’m sending you so many hugs. I’m glad that your mum’s health is a little better today. What an awful scare.

I got your Christmas card yesterday! Thank you so much, it’s beautiful! My family (sister and son) admired the stitching today - they agree that you’re very talented and patient.

The big advantage of paper embroidery is that the motifs are small and you can stop at any given time and pick it up when you can. With my current lifestyle it's a great relief.

I'm glad you liked your card - and it's arrived before Easter! Yay! *g*
