Isn't it pretty? And, as hard as it is to believe, I've managed to make a traybake just as nice looking (not to mention extremely fluffy and yummy, especially with a teaspoon of apricot jam):

Oh damn this looks delicious! I'll have to take a closer look at this vid (we are making Sauerbraten today, though dunno if we can eat from it tonight since I'm having stomach troubles)

Yeah, I watched the recipe and it is indeed very easy. And except for cottage cheese, all ingredients we always have at home anyway. So this is definitely one I'm planning to try.

At last I asked the internet what Topfenknödel are - and was surprised they were sweet as you often make them for lunch. I approve of sweet lunch. Or dinner. Or dessert. :)
