Girl stuff

Went bra shopping last night. The cups on one of mine suddenly ripped at the seam (so totally not my boob's fault) and another has lost elasticity, which left me wearing only sport bras for a few days and squishing two funbags into one giant lump is never comfortable. Anyway, Mom accompanied me--always bad for my self-esteem. Somehow she acts ( Read more... )

Your mom's attitude about bra shopping isn't very mature.

Ah, don't let your mom mess with you about it. For real, she's coming at it from a whole different perspective. (And I agree w/ Bug, it's one that doesn't sound very mature.)

I *only* buy bras at Victoria's Secret now, actually. Which means I can't do it that often ('cause how often can one drop $45 on a bra), but they also don't deform themselves in the wash, so there you go. And I've finally found one style that doesn't cause the underwire to eventually explode into my ribcage! Thus, my loyalty goes to them.

Thanks, Lil. What style is that? I bought Biofit which is a great shape and all but a little tight in the wires.

(lol reply I forgot I hadn't made)

I just get the BBV Shaping Full Coverage (I think that's the name? I just know where it is in my store, heh), which is straight boring, but at least I usually don't slide out of it. I haven't tried Biofit, though, but I used to get conned into buying the IPEX, and it would fit for like an hour or two (long enough to convince me to buy it) and then I'd move my arms and get quadriboob.

wtf at your mom. Way to be a big help.

I say this every time bras come up, but I can't recommend onehanesplace.com enough. They're cheap (comparatively - I'm an E cup and mine were $20!) and they have a ton of sizes and they last forevvvver.
