Yep... Studio Execs assume that everybody is stuck in a Time Warp and don't know about anything or have the patience to look it up... I guarantee this Sentence came up at the Meeting "We need to make it accessable to Unfamiliar Audiences." Yes... Like Fetuses!!!

You know alot of people out there also assume things are a certain way and never seek to do anything new with it... They probably also thought "Ninja Turtles!? How Corny! Well, we may as well keep it that way!"

Which is how they ended up with Campy Batman movies just because the 60's TV Show was... The pain...

ah crap, i was affraid it would be lame. goddamnit. TMNT were COOL, and not just for kids D:<

They need to bring the old series out on dvd, fuckdamnit! Was Donatello at least awesome? Or else, i'm so not buying the admission fee...

Good news! The old series is on dvd. I have up to v3, but i think 4 is out right now. Don was pretty cool. His intro scene is the best, but after that he's kinda pushed to the back to make room for everyone else's defining attitudes (Leo needs Prozac, Raph needs Valium, Mikey needs Ritalin). He and Mikey seem to have a strong bond like in the first film.

holy crap, really? :D No way, i so checked to see if the original series was out... maybe late last year. That's way too cool *knows what i'll be spending my money on now* XD

i think i'll still have to see this film, you know, for nostalgia's sake, but maybe i'll wait 'til it's on dvd, or something :/ That's always the trouble with the cool characters, they never get enough screen time... I wonder if that's what makes them cool???

If you're a big enough fan i don't want to completely turn you off of it. But maybe wait until it comes to a cheap-o theater or dvd for rent.
