[Raine has been set up at the barracks for a few days now, as she has been in a coma due to her injuries. Thanks to Doctor McCoy and likely some others who were assisting, most of her major wounds had been attended to, with most of the bruises finally starting to fade, and her wings still a little damaged

[Katara has been dividing her time between the barracks and preparing food the old fashioned way. While checking up on whoever may remain there, she makes a point to stop by and see Raine.]

[Raine was resting her eyes for a moment, but she knows that voice, so her eyes don't take too long to find the source, offering her a small nod in acknowledgment.]

Sorry. I didn't mean to wake you. You should get some more rest.

Wasn't... sleeping. [Well maybe she was. A little. It's been a busy day.] How... are you?

[Leaning against the wall beside her bed is Kratos, who's been spending most of his time staring out the window. Svala's disappearance had been so... sudden, and he's still trying to adjust to it. He's trying to visit as a friend, but even as he stands right there, he seems to be distant... he barely even notices her movements.]

[It takes her a little time to realize that he's there. And even afterward, acknowledging his presence silently doesn't seem to be working. She doesn't have her journal handy, probably couldn't use it if she tried, anyway, so Svala's disappearance is still unknown to her.

[It's once his name is mentioned that Kratos blinks out of wherever his mind is at the moment and looks down at her. How long had she been awake and aware? He gives a soft sigh to himself as a form of chastisement, then fully gives her his attention.]

You're awake.

[Yes, she's awake. But she saw that look, that distracted, mind on another planet far away from here look. It can mean several things... and none of them pleasant. A perfect way to deflect attention from herself. ... If she can manage in her state.]

What's... wrong?

[Emil's been doing a lot of hanging around the barracks, partly to help out where he can to keep himself distracted and partly because he doesn't want to be too far away from McCoy. It's on one of his trips past her cot with a load of supplies that he notices her trying to sit up and almost drops them all in his haste to go help her.]

C-careful, I'm not sure you should be trying to sit up like that yet...!

[Emil's approach startles her, but it wasn't like she was making much progress with that, so she gives up with a small sigh.] ... ah. Emil.

Are you feeling all right? Should I go get Doctor McCoy?

[He's clearly concerned.]

[It's really no surprise that Regal has been checking up on Raine's condition constantly ever hearing about her injuries from the others. The relief in his voice and eyes is obvious when at last she opens her eyes during one of these visits, though it's clear she's still very weak.]

So you're finally awake. You know, you've had quite the number of visitors while you were unconscious.

[She takes in Regal's appearance slowly, blinking a little and looking almost sheepish. She hates having caused all of this worry. But it's good to see him.]
