[Raine has been set up at the barracks for a few days now, as she has been in a coma due to her injuries. Thanks to Doctor McCoy and likely some others who were assisting, most of her major wounds had been attended to, with most of the bruises finally starting to fade, and her wings still a little damaged

[This sitting up process wasn't going as well as she had hoped. Exhaling sharply as she returns to her original position, she blinks a little, eyes darting to the source of that voice, landing on Ted as she struggles to think, blinking at him as she's just verbally unable to acknowledge him right away due to her disorientation.] ...?

[Raine blinks again after Ted speaks, slowly just trying to process his question. She shakes her head slightly, swallowing and licking her lips before trying to speak again. Her words are a little slow, and she seems frustrated.] ... what is ... [she pauses again, trying to come up with the words.]

White haired lady who runs the school!!

[He's peeking through that small window over there. He had went to the barracks one day to see who all were there and noticed Raine lying unconscious. So he figured he'd check on her periodically since he felt he owed her that much atleast.]

You're awake!

[It takes Raine a few moments to register where that loud and familiar voice is coming from. When her gaze finally finds the window, she lifts her hand to offer the rubber man a weak wave in acknowledgment.]

How are you feeling?

[One of those hard questions that probably requires a verbal response. He might not hear her, but eventually she comes up with some word that might work-]

[Buffy was unable to keep her own protective eye on Raine; after all, she had volunteered to check out the barrier for Albert. But Buffy does leave a little something for her friend. On the floor by the bed, there is a small vase of wild daisies. Just a few that Buffy had found and picked close to the barracks. There is a plain card tucked underneath the vase and--once Raine is able to or once someone else reaches it for her--she'll learn that it says (in loopy, Buffyesque writing): Hey, Raine. Get well soon. Can't wait to get back and have a chat. Make sure to be extra tough on Bones, okay?

The note isn't signed, but it shouldn't hard to figure out. Not many dare to call him Bones.]

[ McCoy has been monitoring Raine's condition closely since Albert brought her to the barracks. It was disconcerting to see her in such a state, but the doctor was confident she would begin to improve once the swelling on the back of her head went down.

So, when he notices the tell-tale signs of the silver-haired woman slowly regaining consciousness the previous evening, he comes back and forth to her side until she has become aware enough to take in her surroundings and react to the environment around her. ]

[When McCoy approaches her, Raine moves her gaze toward him, acknowledging his words with a faint nod. It's still difficult for her to think and put words to it, but she's definitely alert.]

... Doctor?

[... It's a greeting and a question.]

Yeah, it's me. You're in the barracks.

[It's such a long way from the house. She attempts to process this. Being at the barracks means she's not at the house, and if she's not at the house, then ...

... but she didn't remember coming here.] ... how ...?

[Well of course she's coming to check up on Raine. She's done that every day, since Albert brought it up. Even though today she feels especially strange, and more weird things have started to happen. ...Yeah, she's worried. But when she sees Raine with her eyes open, her demeanor brightens considerably]

Hey, you're up.

[It's hard to gauge just how much time has passed, between when her waking up process started and the current time of day. Probably because she's dozed off between visits, and more than likely forgot a few things between them.

Sheena's a familiar face and voice, so it doesn't take long for Raine to shift her eyes to her visitor and give Sheena a faint nod of acknowledgment.]

You feel like a visitor? I can just let you go back to sleep.

[She nods her head faintly again as a sign of encouragement. Visitors are good. Visitors have information that she doesn't have.]
