[Due to a variety of reasons, Raine hadn't been out and about the village for a few days, as was noted by how she was absent on the last two days of school. Of course, something like that can't last when you're the only one cooking in the household and the food supply is decreasing quicker than normal

[Of course they don't. Such is the case with Tir, who is in the store himself picking up his own groceries. He could simply hide behind the aisle and not to Raine. But that would be ridiculous and absurd. So he smiles and waves. He doesn't remember Raine from his introduction, unfortunately.]

[He probably could easily get away with hiding, as Raine isn't about to intentionally approach anyone. The wave does catch her attention, at least, so she does her best to return both, before looking back toward the produce selection.]

[Well damn. Because Tir really needs to get some cabbage. And someone must have went on a cabbage raid, because there's only one left now. Does he take it or...?]

[Cabbage. She studies it thoughtfully, trying to think of any simple meals she could use it for. None are really coming to mind.]

Hm? Ah... no, it's not necessary. Go on ahead and take it, Tir.

[ Since Uhura was sent home and Buffy got his remaining crewmate unintentionally drunk on chocolate, it's down to McCoy to do the grocery shopping today... again. He stares at the frozen food section, determined to find a flavour ice cream that has traces of chocolate, his revenge for those carrots Spock got him during the body swap incident finally coming to fruition. But he is distracted from this when he notices Raine and waves to her in a silent greeting. ]

[Raine is looking at some of the frozen mixed vegetables and debating picking up a few. At least they're likely to last longer than the fresh ones, in case they run out again.

... She's not used to being the one doing all of this shopping. She consults a list again, before noticing Bones's presence, so she gives him a wave in return.]

[ He goes back to looking at the ice cream that Summers managed to convince everyone to eat; therapeutic effect his ass. This does not last long as it occurs to him that he hasn't spoken to her since Genis left. ]

How are you doing? [ He offers as a conversation starter. ]

... Well enough, I suppose. [Though the good doctor may be able to pick up that something is off about that response. But his presence is enough to remind her of something... and she could use a reasonable distraction] ... And yourself? It feels as if it's been a while since we've had one of our lessons.

[Simon's been checking out the Malnosso tunnels recently, so he's just climbing up, goggles on, looking dusty and smudged with dirt, as Raine passes by. He spots her almost immediately, eyes widening.] Miss Raine!

[At hearing his voice, she turns her attention toward him.] Ah... Simon, hello. Keeping yourself busy?

A little. When school's done, it's harder to find things to do. [He tries (and fails miserably) to look halfway presentable before giving up. Sometimes you just have to live with dirt.] Are you okay? You haven't been around much.

[It isn't said like an accusation, though. He's mostly just curious.]

I'm certain you'll find ways to keep yourself entertained before long. Though if you like, tutoring lessons can probably be arranged for you. [With a new tutor, since Genis is gone.]

Yes, I'm fine. Unfortunately I can only be in so many places at once...

[Now that there won't be any more school for a while, Gelda's decided to pay a visit to the library and pick up some reading material. While she's out, though, she decided to stop at the plaza and enjoy the sight of the fountain for a bit. When Raine exits the store, Gelda looks up and smiles.]

[It's a bit of a balancing act. It might have been better if she had brought Astrid along with her. But nonetheless, she can still hold it comfortably enough to greet her fellow teacher.]

Ah, good afternoon, Gelda. How are things?

They're just fine, really. Though, I should be asking you the same thing.

[What with Raine's absence from the school and the lack of details as to why, it's only natural for her to be worried. It's good to see Raine out and about, but knowing her, she may still not have recovered from whatever kept her busy this week.]

[She's actually so distracted that it takes her a moment to even register what Gelda is referring to.]

They're... well enough. I suppose we're going to have to get used to having a little more time on our hands. Did they decide to have the party, after all?

[Sheena's in the store shopping for Jennifer, who's afraid to leave the house. Having no idea what Jennifer likes, she's getting a little bit of everything, her mind on other things. It's possible she'd bump right into Raine rounding a corner in the store.]

[It's possible she does, right there in the bread section, where Raine is picking up a loaf for sandwiches, and some hard rolls.]
