Really, it's such a war out there between the foul Capitalist profiteers and the slave driving Communist hordes. But there's a secret to both sides of the story that neither side will reveal. Your freedoms in democracy are not so free after all and your freedoms in communism aren't quite realized either. Let me give you a lesson you will never ( Read more... )

Well, from the looks of thing, this looks like it's a progress to some utopia where all are equal. But... what conditions lead this Marx guy to come up with it in the first place?

Marx believed that history was a struggle between two conflicting classes; the rich, or bourgeoisie, and the poor, or proletariat. He believed that society was built on the rich oppressing and using the labor of the poor to create everything we know. His time period was one most commonly known for its industrial revolution...one where people worked in grinding poverty in factories while the rich profited from their hard labor. Ironically, his ideas finally took root after his own death. He died in 1883 and the first large, successful revolution by "the poor" took place in 1917. They created what you may know right now as the Soviet Union.

Why? When one is in the lion's den, do you act like a deer or a lion?

That is no reason to sacrifice dignity.
