Really, it's such a war out there between the foul Capitalist profiteers and the slave driving Communist hordes. But there's a secret to both sides of the story that neither side will reveal. Your freedoms in democracy are not so free after all and your freedoms in communism aren't quite realized either. Let me give you a lesson you will never ( Read more... )

[plopping the phone back on the hook. he'd hate for anyone to hear him laughing]

Problem, Ciel?

[You mean giggling. My little boy is far too sweet and perfect to laugh crudely and not giggle like an angel.

She's making tea. -3- But you can hear her from the kitchen even if you stay in the living room.]

Not at all. Rather, I should be the one asking you this question. Will you be okay with the answering calls?

Why would I have a problem? Do you expect people to ask impossible questions?

expiatrice October 18 2010, 09:07:11 UTC
That's certainly possible. There will be humans answering, after all, though I would expect more silly questions instead. I'm still more impressed about the fact that you decided to get involved, though. Weren't you the one who wouldn't help humans, at least not unless you were asked? That was exceedingly generous, just now.

Oh? Was it generous? As an agent of the Burial Society, you should know that a certain phrase exists.

We call it "knowing too much".

I wonder what happens to those people, Ciel.

For a Dead Apostle to take enough interest in human matters and educate them like this? Yes, it would be. There are a lot of phrases that even a normal person would know, though, and that specific one was rather vague. Are you talking about yourself, Merem? [You might hear kitchen tinkering noises and fridge door opening and closing from the front.]

My interests can only be described as mundane. Besides, what better way to amuse oneself out of doldrums of boredom by drumming up conversation.

And myself? It is possible. If one speaks too loudly here, trouble may ensue and nothing speaks louder than the truth. Between you and me, I wish to see the minimum boundaries of getting in trouble with the authorities here.

Ah, of course. A little boy fond of his toys does sound rather ordinary; if only that was the case. [~*~WISTFUL SIGH~*~] What you gave was not a conversation opener, however: that's what's commonly known as a lecture. Do you think that a vampire would make a good teacher, Merem? I do admit that I'm curious to find out. [Come on over and replace professor Roa I'll arrange you a new contract :c] Please treat any questioning students with patience and professionalism: after all, not many of them were able to witness for themselves the development of society as we know it, like you have.

So you are; what a troublesome child. I should consider harder about setting up and enforcing a curfew for you, as well your access to the phone in the house after certain hours.

Was that a lecture? I'm afraid I couldn't tell the difference considering my only human influence is rather fond of them.

[Gotta giggle at that.]

I think I would prefer to dole out answers that lead to trouble so I've already lost my status as teacher. And seeing that I much prefer the nighttime, a curfew would be a little difficult, don't you think?

A teacher would certainly be well-placed to tell you that, though I can't say that I would know who you would mean by an 'only human influence'.

[s-somoe]

That is, provided that you do get a response, which is already unlikely. If this city has shown no sign of concern over the amount of information exchanged over the network in the past few weeks, I don't see why it would start to worry over you. That said... Hm, it would be, but a curfew imposed onto a child from an adult doesn't have to be liked by the former, so I don't see the problem.

Are you discarding your human status and considering yourself a dog, Ciel? I think you'd be much more agreeable like that anyway. Dogs are my favorite animal.

I'm different from everyone else which is why it should cause worry. And the fact that I'm vastly older than you makes your own suggestions a problem.

I have an influence on you? My, I wonder what both the True Ancestor and Narbareck would think of that. It would certainly explain a few things, however.
