Actually the doctor said strep isn't as contagious as people think it is. You're more likely to get the flu than strep from someone in a crowded room.

Uhm...when you go into crowds and meet other people, you are exposing them to the risk of catching strep. And since it's not as simple a problem as the common cold, you should do your civic duty and stay home! I know that I wouldn't take the risk (even if it's a smaller risk that "most people think"), especially since I don't have health insurance right now (haha, we in the bay area are all living on the edge!). So, until you've been on antibiotics for more than 2 days, don't go out ( ... )

GOD liz! Strep is like the plague! If you go out before your antibiotics kick in, the chances of you infecting, like, the entire Bay Area with your germs are 98.99%! Show concern for your fellow man!
