Concerning Shinies...

Jun 23, 2010 15:48

Within the next few days, I shall be placing a massive order at Ye Olde Fire Mountaine. Why do I mention this here? Two reasons:

Cheap Materials For You: If you are a local fellow jewelry-maker and wish to order shinies from FMG at the 200+ discount level, let me know ASAP, and I can add your stuff to my order so you can share in the discount.

Ooo! I will need a little time to look through their cabochons and see if there's anything I both want and trust sight-unseen as far as quality goes... the 200-level discount is very appealing! When would you like a list of what I want?

In fact, if you're confident that the 200-unit discount will apply, I may spring for a tumbler and steel shot mix for hardening and polishing stuff. Also, is it OK if I wait to give you money for my order until after the Sunday craft fair?

The 200-unit will absolutely apply (already reached, in fact), so you may plan accordingly. Probably the best way to arrange this is to make a wishlist, make it publicly sharable (which I think is the default), and send me the name of the list and the email address it's stored under. That way I can view it and copy it right into my cart.

And after Sunday is fine. :)

Neat, I'll make a wishlist! If you're OK with holding off on actually putting the order through until Sunday, I'd prefer to adjust my wishlist based on how well I do at the craft fair (barely break even = tiny supply list, make money = invest in tumbler).

Ooh, shinies! I don't make shinies, but I like to own them. Hrmmm. I will go poke at this site and see if it makes sense to a non-maker.

okay, oof, I do not have time at work nor the brain to be able to pick things from there. But I know I'm in the market for some nice, simple, round white pearl earrings. Wanna be in charge of that for me?

I could probably arrange that. :) A few questions:
- studs or dangles?
- gold or silver?
- around what size of pearls?

Hooray!

Dangles would be prettier, but I don't want bighuge. Silver. Pearls about... 1/4in diameter? I have a very simple single-strand white pearl necklace I'd like them to go with, though I understand they're coming from different sources and thus won't be exactly the same.

Yep. And also a pack of H201054AS. (links in comments doesn't want to work for me.)

Let me know the total and I'll paypal you.

$11.71 for the stuff. (And just to confirm: the second thing should be a pack of mixed sterling silver jumprings?) If you'd be willing to kick in fifty cents or a dollar towards shipping, that would be awesome. Paypal me at arkady [dot] lizard [at] gmail. :)

Commenting from across the house, because I have a fuzzyman sleeping on my lap. :-) I would actually be interested -- I'll look at the catalog again tonight and let you know. Thanks!

Some seven years ago now, brynndragon asked me if I was Ozy or Millie, and after some thought I responded that I was Llewellyn. After some more thought, she agreed.

Anyway, I am a fan.
