1. Yes, but to a very limited extent, and they all seem to be particularly unhinged versions of certain characters, like my Ed and the somewhat insane version of the Tenth Doctor currently taking up residence in my head (he complains very loudly when I stumble upon non-con weepy!compliant!Ten/Master).

1. Have you ever had what folks refer to as muses? i.e. characters sortof taking on a life of their own within your imagination.

Yep, still have a bunch of 'em from Highlander. And now a new bunch from DW/TW.

2. Has any such muse ever gone to a second level of meta? i.e. becoming aware, not just that people are writing about them, but that they are a mental construct.

Yeah, but they usually only do that when they kibitz my characterization or I need help working out plot points. For the most part, they just live out their "normal" lives inside my skull.

3. Have your muse[s] ever hit on you? if so, does this register as vaguely masturbatory?

Nope, nor have I had sex with a muse. Masturbated to muse-activities while they were aware I was doing this, yes. I'd say sexual activity with a muse is outright masturbatory, no "vaguely" about it.

4. Do you muse[s] ever 'interact' with the physical world, or do they stay entirely in your interior imagination?Rarely, and never when I'm with (in the sense of "likely to interact with") ( ... )
