Despite the wretched weather, this past weekend was actually really wonderful. I'm glad I decided to go to the extra effort and bring the space heater because I really feel that is the only thing that kept me sane what with the cold. I am slightly recovered from the plague of Aralis. It appears to have migrated to deeper congestion, but that seems more normal that horribly sore throat.

The weather cooperated very well this past weekend which, I do believe, was a very important factor in making the weekend enjoyable. So, I did enjoy the session a great deal. There was a lot of hanging out and having fun and even some enjoyable fighting. I think my highlights were watching the Company of the Crow take shots together (Slam by Ice!), the rounds that we sang after nightfall, and the scavenger hunt. Driving home last night, I was plagued by the thought of the blood forest as an invasive species. In what ways is it or is it no similar to those invasive genotypes that have invaded North America? Cotton is doing much better. She does not seem to feel the pain from her incisions anymore and is quite perky. Even her tail is back up and waggily! I got a call from the vet over the weekend with the analysis from the liver biopsy. Turns out she has a nasty infection in either her liver or GI. Thoughts on whether there should be hot cider at the next Aralis event?

So, with the fact that I'll be using the kitchen facilities at Camp Middlesex and have the use of the dining hall as the tavern, I have a lot more possibilities for food.
