:) And you know, he's not crazy - he realized perfectly how dangerous it was, and that he could die if he made any teeny tiny mistakes, but for him, that was what made it worth doing. He did EIGHT walks that day (along with lying down, saluting, kneeling, etc.) for something like 45 minutes, staying just out of range of the cops who were waiting for him. ;) I think they said the distance of the walk was 200 meters.
The thing is, he didn't have a message at all in performing his walk. He simply did it because he could - he says in the documentary that after they arrested him, everyone wanted to know "why?" He said he thought that was a very American reaction, to want to know why he did it, but that there wasn't any reason to make his walk. He did it because he wanted to. Which to me, seems like the most pure, perfect answer. :D
Regarding your question, I only know what the wiki entry I linked to in the post describes of his life. He's never stopped wire walking! :)
And before I forget, allow me to wish you a very happy birthday! I hope you have a lovely day. *hugs*

Although it seems crazy, I can understand that sometimes it takes extreme measures for people to pay attention to a message.
I'm curious, what happened to him after that?
