Wonderful pictures! cuillin August 23 2008, 01:15:16 UTC
OMG....those pieces are amazing. I grew up with my parents involved in ceramics, so I know a bit about porcelain/glazing etc. Your pix do them justice too! Seems you're still spending time in the Sackler, eh? I'm 'envious' :-)

Food shots are as wonderful as always! Love this time of yr. with all the fresh veggies (think you've seen my Dad's garden?)

Hugs,
Chris /cuillin

ps- interested in a few of my Comic Con shots? I made it to the DrWho and TW panels!

Hey there Chris! I'm really glad you like the photographs! The bowls were incredibly impressive in person, and I'm glad I could capture at least a couple of them.

I would love some photos from CC!! How are you? I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Please say hi to everyone for me! *hugstight*

I love the blue. The bowl does look a bit big though imo x)

The bowls were all huge! They were all enormous art pieces, and so not really the kind of thing anyone would have in their home unless they had loooooots of space. The blue was amazing. I'm glad you like it! :)

That's a very gorgeous Japanese porcelain. Very beautiful indeed.

I finally watched the first two episodes of Maou! And they weren't bad - waaay overdramatized, but Toma made up for it.
I'm also planning to watch it. Your comment about Toma makes me wanna watch it soon. I think he is one of the few j.e. talents that i still like.

I'm glad you like the porcelain! :) And yes, Toma is doing a terrific job with Maou, so if you love him, you should definitely give it a try.

The Shindo Susumu bowl is hypnotizing! I love the illusion of depth it gives too near the centre ^_^

& thanks for the food pics! I adore avocado so that definitely made my mouth water xD

Me, too! It looks like the deepest inky pool that you could disappear into! :)

Avocado is one of my favorite food, so I understand. :)

How are you? I hope all is well with you, dear. ♥

Exactly! ^_^

I have been well thank you! I’m sorry for disappearing for many months :/
I managed to read ‘The Namesake’ a few weeks back & loved it a lot! The book is more descriptive & generous in its details. Since I like details, I appreciated it however some of my friends felt it was long winded and got impatient with the pace. I also liked how the author chose to conclude the book and it left me with a great feeling. Thank you for telling me about it (reviewing the film & book on your lj ^_^).
& yes avocado is so delicious & I love everything about it- from its colour to texture & yummy taste! There was a time I ate it almost everyday as an afternoon snack prepared in different ways & never felt bored of it. My friend couldn’t understand xD
Lastly, I LOVE your new layout! The green is vibrant and so full of life! ♥
