Catchy song, enough said. :P I haven't listened to the song in a few months, but it gets stuck in my head when I'm in the store. ALWAYS in the store. Nowhere else.
I haven't downloaded the new PV yet. I guess I should do that after schoolwork. :O
so many typos, gosh!
I feel your pain on typos. WHERE WOULD WE BE WITHOUT THE BACKSPACE BUTTON.
I always get really excited when people who aren't in the fandom get caught singing KAT-TUN songs. My brother has also been spotted singing Gold after I showed him the ballad version online!
I'm the same with music atm-nothing seem to click with me so I'll be sure to take a look at Mogwai!
Juno is just one of those very clever films filled with vibrant characters and a lot of heart - I hope you get to see it sometime soon!
Indeed, the Challenger disaster was very sad - not just for the people who were lost, but for what it did to the shuttle program - and despite the fact that there are huge problems with the program, I've always believed very strongly in our efforts to go into space.
So glad you got to see Juno! I could never explain that movie clearly enough to folks, kept making it sound like another teen movie but it is a lot better than that. I was really impressed with Ellen Page too. I later made the connection that she was also in Hard Candy, which only impressed me more as that is quite a bit of range.
I haven't seen Hard Candy! Maybe I'll add that to my Netflix. And you're right - this film is so much more than just another teen movie - it's so smart and is filled with very human, and very vibrant characters. The writing is amazing, so I think the nomination for original screenplay is well-deserved.
I will offer a parental warning on Hard Candy though... it is a very tough movie to watch. The subject matter is very disturbing. However, the performances are really amazing and the plot does keep you guessing (if also squirming).
Back to Juno, I actually teared up when she left the note on the back of the Jiffy Lube receipt. It's such a brave statement on such an every day tablet... which might describe the movie for me.

Don't worry, I won't watch it with any children! ;) Thanks for the warning - I have a tendency to watch darker films for some reason, so hopefully I'll be up for this one.

You make a really good point there - that's part of the beauty of the film: how grounded in ordinariness everything is and yet it's elevated at the same time. Such a wonderful combination that is not often done well!
The thing that I love about Juno is how original it is. It's one thing to say the plot is about a teenager who gets pregnant - but the way they pull this off, the kind of different characters, their interactions...it's all so fresh. And the dialogue sparkles!
And hurrah for the Bluths' reunion - I really enjoyed all of the tv actors, especially Allison Janney.

Agreed. It's so happy! And hearing him whistling the melody made me even happier, once I got over the WTF-ness of the moment.
WHERE WOULD WE BE WITHOUT THE BACKSPACE BUTTON.
Lost, hopelessly lost. ;)

I'm not sure if Mogwai is for everyone - but it's definitely working for me! :)

I don't remember the Challenger disaster, but I saw a documentary about it once. It was so sad.
