Ordinarily I like to take care of housekeeping first before I post, but I've realized that it's probably going to take me a lot longer to sort out my tags issue, so I might as well just post and tags be damned for the time being.
i've yet to see any YC episode, but i kind of just want to see ep 7. :)
i haven't watched any dorama in the past month or so. i fail in fandom, but i still love to read bits and pieces from you guys, and of course, my bestfriend je12_vz09 spoils me rotten with bazillion clips.i don't think she ever wants off the fandom, even if i'm barely hanging. :P
HI THERE! *glomps* I hope you're staying alive, my dear busy friend! :)
i fail in fandom,
Don't worry, I regularly fail at fandom! It's always hard to carve out time for it because it means I have to take it from somewhere else...I spent a fair amount of last night just dealing with files, converting, burning discs, getting organized. I think I'm set for the week, though, after that session! :) Thank goodness for my iPod or I'd be even further behind on drama-viewing, and as it is, I'm only watching one currently airing drama!
Were those birds in Rockville? I miss the crows there (I even named my fantasy sports teams the Rockville Crows when I lived there, and my home recording studio was the Crows Nest).
I'm not too fond of the crows because for quite a while they roosted in the trees of my apartment complex, so in the morning and evening they were a nuisance (I wore a hood or hat ALL the time for a while to avoid being splatted). They don't roost with us anymore, so I can admire their early evening migration across the sky over Congressional Plaza.
I cringed here and there while watching the seventh episode of Yuukan Club, and found it terribly stereotyped and oh so horribly wrong. I didn't mind much though-- I mean the whole drama is ridiculous anyway! The only thing that got me a bit and made me go WAIT-- STOP RIGHT THERE JAPAN was the whole thing with being able to marry ten wives! I'm an Arab and that's way out of line! XD (and none of them looked arabian to me-- not the terrorists and definitely not Mike He!) They could have nicely asked me to play an Arabian Princess instead! *daydreams* I don't think they were specifically aiming at my country anyway so I shrugged it off-- Japan does not want to offend my country, I am quite positively sure of that.

As annoying as such stereotypes are, I'm certain they don't mean anything intentionally insulting by it - it's ignorance and laziness that motivates such choices in these kinds of jdramas (as well as an attempt to follow along with the manga, as ina pointed out up there).
None of which makes it any less cringe-worthy, though!

They also used to always be at that strip mall at Montrose and 355. Are they still there?
I miss Rockville.

Ooooh, I never thought of that - I can definitely see how it might be creepy for you!
And yes, yes, I'm also irrationally excited for Kame's drama. Kame has a way of making me abandon rationality, so I embrace my giddiness! :D
