KAT-TUN

o1. I don't think I could love "Your Side" more if I tried. I find it a bit sick how often I've been playing it lately. I've even been humming it! And in a related matter, last week's performance on cartoon KAT-TUN is my most watched video clip of the week.

o2. I've been catching up on cartoon KAT-TUN, and I have to say that as much as I adored ( Read more... )

Thanks for the lovely picspam ^__^
I thought Kame was looking extra pretty in this latest ep - red really suits him.

You're welcome for the picspam, and I agree about red on Kame! The big smiles also suit him very well. :)

I love your icon!

I almost never watch CTKT before the subs come out, but when I heard about the performance, I had to cheat a bit. I loved 'your side' too, although I wasn't expecting to from the lyrics.

...I kind of thought their performance was a little tone-deaf, though? adorably tone-deaf, but. *pinches their cheeks* then again, it's a song with vocal layers, and that's kind of hard to pull off if you haven't had a lot of practice.

The performance wasn't the best, but it's not cringe-worthy the way that most of their Fall 2006 Utawara perfs were (so painful!). In any case, with JE I don't expect them to sound "good" the way I expect other artists to sound good, so it doesn't bug me as much with a subpar performance like this one.

And to think if you'd put this in front of me two years ago I probably would have run away screaming in horror, with my music-snob nose firmly tilted upwards. ;)

I always wondered if it was just Utawara; it looks like the type of set that's all flash and no substance, like they spent all this money on moving platforms and forgot to install, say, decent soundsystems, haha.

I'm still a music snob, lol. or to be fair, I guess, I'm music-fickle; I've been known to love really craptacular music, so I don't think it's the indie or less accessible quality that draws me. and I'd still rather hear a few bum notes than sit through 5 minutes of lipsynching.

kame and ueda go lighter and everyone else gets slightly darker. It's like there's a mean brown for KAT-TUN, so if anyone changes their color, everyone else has to change too to compensate.

I never thought of it like that, but it is interesting how their hair colors have been changing so much lately. Granted I've only been watching them for a year, but during this last year, esp. the last six months, the styles and colors have really moved around!

I agree - Abe's shirt is hilarious. :D It always amazes me that the Japanese generally don't care what the shirt actually says in English (and it's appropriateness or lack thereof) but only if it looks good/cool or not. ;) There's something so refreshing about that!

And yeah, I adore Smile Athletics, too - it's a sure-fire way to guarantee hijinks!
