Episode 3 of Hanayome to Papa was charming - and I'm beginning to warm up to Junno whose character has been far surpassed by the leads (the father and daughter) - but in this episode, he showed improvement. He's still a dork, though, but so are Aiko and her father. This is the total dork drama, but that's what makes it so loveable. If I didn't love ( Read more... )

I really do love how we are so on the same boat with dramas a lot of the time. :) I'm glad you found episode three of Hanayome to Papa to be an improvement. :) I thought so too because we are getting more depth to Seiji; I totally think there's something to him saying that his mother didn't expect much of him. And the teaser for episode four is such a DOOZY! *flail* You've got me worked up for tomorrow's new episode just with the mere thought of it. *chuckle*

Bambino's episode two was also pretty strong and better than the first. Now that Ban has decided to plant his feet in the ground and stay, I look forward to seeing what unfolds. ^_^

It does seem that way, doesn't it? :) I love it, too. AND YES, oh my, the teaser for episode 4 of HtP is incredible! I'm quite looking forward to it!

Yes, I'm feeling better about Bambino!, too - while there were still a few moments that I didn't love, overall, it was a big improvement, and hopefully in the next episode Ban won't spend so much time crying. Hee~

Now, if only I could finish the first episode of Tokkyu Tanaka 3 Go...I'm 3/4 through and haven't found time to finish yet.

*chomps at the bit* for Liar Game subs! :D

I haven't watched Bambino, but I find Hanayome to Papa absolutely adorable ♥
I don't know much about acting, but it seems like the acting in some of the characters is a little weak sometimes. I like the drama plot-wise though. They story moves on before it gets boring for me. And, oh, the acoustic 'curfew song' made me giggle XDD

You're right - the acting in Hanayome to Papa would definitely not win any awards, but I guess this is requisite for the genre: broad, exaggerated humor, which is okay with me (as it was with both Gokusen 1 & 2) if I love the characters. They're all so dorky that they're loveable, so I don't mind so much if the acting isn't deep and nuanced.

I'm glad you're enjoying it, too! I can't wait for subs for Ep 4 which nihongofrancais tells me was wonderful. :)

If this is fine - where do you get "Hanayome to Papa" and it's subtitles? I watched the first episode from jdramas and it is an instantaneous love. (And I love singing Papa!). I am going to make a picspam today!!

Hello dear~ I posted a big links list for all the Spring dramas I'm watching, so hopefully that will be useful to you. :)

Hanayome to Papa is getting hardsubbed/softsubbed by BNS-DA, but that takes a while. kioku_konseki is doing partial subs weekly - which means that there are lots of lines left out, but it's enough so you get the general idea. That's enough to tide me over until the higher quality complete subs from BNS-DA come out.

I love singing Papa, too! :) I'm SO HAPPY that you like HtP, also! :) *dances with glee*
