Apolo doesn't get why J.R. still gets so nervous around him (and blushes and stutters, etc) after all this time. Someone finally clues him in that J.R. is attracted to him. Epiphany moment, followed by Apolo tapping that fine ass.

Practice itself is a wonderful thing. On the ice, he and JR come alive as athletes, competitive and tactical as always. At first, Apolo wonders if he should be conservative and let the kid have a win under his belt, but JR quickly shows that he can compete with the best of him. I have midterms to study for, but I'll finish this tomorrow!It’s in the showers that Apolo’s able to corner JR and confront him about his poise issues. It’s somewhat bad timing, as he is just coming out of the shower stall as JR is waiting to come in. Both are clad in only fluffy white towels wrapped around their waists. JR looks like he’s spotted a ghost, which is to say that he looks the same as he has for the past two weeks. He has a funny way of always cornering JR for one-on-one talks, like a cat catching a mouse. Apolo thinks it has something to do with his ability to maneuver corners on a track, and apparently, boys into empty weight rooms. He had been waiting for an opportunity to speak to JR since the conversation with his dad two days earlier, and honestly, it’s felt like a veil has been removed from his eyes. Ever y interaction, JR becomes a cute, blushing dork, scratching his head and ducking away from Apolo’s attentions. He laughs breathlessly whenever Apolo pulls him into a hug, and looks like he’s won a million dollars when Apolo kisses his cheek ( ... )
