tea & sympathy

Starbucks Boy was going to give me my tea for free today because I looked so tragical when I came in. :) But then the manager swooped in and rang me up while he was fetching my tea, alas.

I looked tragical because I went in to the health center for bloodwork today. (Routine stuff 'cause I had a physical yesterday.) ( squeamish needle stuff )

boys, randomness, tea

Aw, sorry! :( But really, that is the only time it's been bad! Mostly the people who've taken my blood were actually competent. So best wishes for competent lab people for you! ♥

Oh, he totally digs youuuu! Sorry about the bloodwork, but you can totally work that. Thank him for offering to comp your tea, and say maybe you two could go get a cup of coffee when he's off work? Your treat. :)

Dooo it! Man up, ya got nothing to lose! Worst thing: it gets awkward and you have to go to another Starbucks. But you'll trip over another one soon as you get out the door, so that's nothin.

In retrospect, I probably should have followed my instinct to flee when the first guy went in search of backup. But, I said to myself, when people go for backup, they go for people who are more competent.

Let this be a lesson: instincts > common sense.

Somehow when you wrote 'backup' there I read 'superhero backup'... so I was imagining, I dunno, 'Dr. McNeedles, Vein-Finder Extraordinare' in spandex. I think perhaps I have been reading too many comics lately?

I am sure Dr. McNeedles would have been much more competent!

... Except, I might have been giggling too much at the spandex to hold still. The downfalls of superhero costumes, you know.
