Isn't it? Sadly, I find that I like it more than most of my immediate family AND my boyfriend. I guess part of it's just my soft spot for Hello Dolly, hee!
It is!! I just bought it for myself ('cause no one got it from my wishlist) and made my parents watch it. They seemed suitably enamored. (Not as much as me, but they did make cooing noises at the right places and such.)
And for me, I love it to bits even in spite of my hatred of "Put On Your Sunday Clothes". The song was ruined for me by my sixth grade music teacher, who made us sing that at our sixth-grade graduation. Not only that, he actually choreographed it, so we had to strut and pretend we had parasols and lapels and stuff. So I cringed when I heard that on my first WALL-E viewing, but it is soooo sweet I love it anyway! ♥
I know! For me, it's the other bit, that takes the slightly boring end of "It Only Takes a Moment", mostly because Cornelius always slightly put my teeth on edge.
WALL-E! Oh, man, I need to own that, and then write the epic story of RODN-E and his sleek flying robot love "John-ah" that I have been composing in my head ever since I first saw it in theaters. The only problem is that, while Rodney is very talkative, RODN-E (Refuse & Offal Digesting aNdroid - Earth class?) would be more limited in his expressions (though, you know he'd have all kinds of sarcastic bleeps and bloops going on). I guess he'd have a lengthy inner monologue, and added layers of frustration for only being able to express it in variably-inflected "RODN-E"s. Oh, oh, and then he meets John-ah, and gets a new word to say, and so many more meanings, and it's like a whole new world opens up for him. And then stupid John-ah flies off on a suicide mission (into deep space? All by himself? Who knows where that spaceship has been, or where it's taking him?) with only a robotic "So long, RODN-E", and of course RODN-E has to follow him, and then they have fun robot flying times ( . . . not a euphemism) and save the day and HOLD

Sadly, she couldn't be convinced to take it out of its box. Maybe once I make her watch the movie. *pouts*
