[Castiel looks quite a bit more normal now than he did the last time he made a post himself, steadfastly pretending the last post and the accompanying event never occurred. He's inside the Temple, and there's a window behind him; it's dark outside, but the snowfall is still visible through the glass.]It has been snowing for the past three days. Is

How did you not know that?
[Someone is still mourning. Like most angels, grief turns him into a bitch.]

Tell me your plan so far. [And be glad this is all over PCD because he hasn't wanted so badly to snap Cas's neck since...ever, actually. The fact he isn't showing it is due to how important escape is.
That and perhaps deep down acknowledging that he has no reason to be taking this out on him--legitimate concerns or not this is really about Michael and Dean.]

[He's indeed glad it's over the PCD, because he knows he would have been saying the same things in person, and coming to blows or worse would have been an incredible setback.
He does rile slightly more at the order, and instead of complying, he just narrows his eyes again.]
Tell me yours.

Now stop being stubborn before my patience runs out. Go on, 'Cas', show me you weren't just lying to me all this time.

[He speaks before he means to, the words vehement and revealing more than he wants them to be. He's tired of being treated like he's there for nothing more than to be of use; of being expected to give everything and demand nothing in return.
But he takes a moment to collect his thoughts, and to decide what to do next. He has to look at this logically and carefully. Alienating Lucifer will get them nowhere, and he will simply have to accept that this is how things are right now, and probably will always be. He has to decide if his pride is worth jeopardizing their chances, and it's not.]I don't have a complete one as of yet. Right now I am learning everything I can about this world, and about viable target dimensions, because it may be vastly easier to travel from this one to one other than our own. We could then step from that dimension to ours. From there, the timeline can be modified, and we can utilize more familiar methods of travel to reach the world you are looking for ( ... )

[But after that he listens and seems to calm down, at least a little.]
Sound theory. [He doesn't sound surprised; he's come to expect intelligent ideas from Castiel even if he's never said so.]
I have a suspicion that there are temporal-spacial scars here from everything the Scientists did, seams we can slip through. I doubt you were in Hell long enough to notice, but you can see seams in certain planes...I haven't found them here, but if we do we may be able to manipulate them.
[There. Tit for tat; now he has one of Lucifer's theories.]

That is possible and would make sense. Similarly it is also likely possible that there are places in the 'borders' of this dimension that are weaker than others. One may be in the Inner City, as presumably it would be why the Animus are there and not elsewhere, in addition to the anomalies that have been said to occur there.

[And there follows a long silence, as an idea--distasteful but necessary--snaps into place in his mind.]
I need to meet you in person.

[And at that next comment, and the pause that preceded it and the earlier conversation, he's a bit wary.]
Why?
Reply
Because these devices have been unreliable in the past, and this is important. I need your input.

Fine. I will be where we usually meet in ten minutes.

Lucifer.
[He greets his brother simply so he doesn't start with what he actually wants to say, which is 'what do you want?']

We need to get to the Inner City, we need to investigate the catacombs. But right now, I'm not prepared to do that. It's not as simple as just choosing not to use my talents...you know that. [It's not something they can shut off; angel mojo, especially for archangels, is like breathing.]
So I need you to teach me what to do without it.

What do you want to know?
[Because he can answer questions but he doesn't know what else he's supposed to do, though the idea is a good one.]

I don't need an essay. I need you to go with me to the outskirts of the City. Where my powers won't work. Teach me how to...survive that way.
[Teach Lucifer. To be a Hunter.]
