Is there a polite way to tell somebody that their drawing looks very pretty, but completely wrong? I won't say anything at all, I suppose. There is a parade of ducks playing musical instruments at Southpointe mall in Durham, and the one playing the flute is holding it backwards (both hands on the same side of the instrument). I have a friend, a former floutist, who kicks the duck every time she goes past it. 'Cause it's wrong.

I am going to hope very deeply that these are statue ducks and not real ones at all, because if they are real, your friend should be very impressed that the duck is managing to hold a flute at all.

That would be the case, yes. I tried to find a picture of the statues, but my google-fu failed me. Honestly, I don't even remember what sort of appendages they were supposed to be using. Wings and small buttons don't tend to mix very well.
