Ditto, sister.

My best advice for sewing for yourself is to find some simple patterns, get good at a few basics, and then play around with altering them to make different designs. GOOD LUCK, PILGRIM.

Sweet. That was kind of my plan. Like, exactly. At the moment my planned projects are 1. an apron from a pattern that I can use in my future classrooms (mostly because it has directions and such), and then 2. reverse engineering some simple items from my wardrobe like camisoles and undershirts and things to get a feel for the basics without an actual, like, pattern (and because it can't possibly cost me $40 to MAKE a camisole, but it's one of my most used wardrobe pieces [see aforementioned necklines]).

I know already some of the more complex things I'd like to do, but I looked at one of the patterns at the store and was all, "LOL I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HALF THESE WORDS MEAN." *puts back in drawer* I'll work up to it. It's a goal, right? :D

THANKS! *smish and twirl*

Fwee! Will do. Though expect most of them to be vocabulary-ish. Still, I've been talking about learning a new language recently... xD

I'm an idiot when it come to sewing - but yeah, you should blog about the stupuid things they call fashion for ALL sizes. I swear, if we were all magazine cutouts...hell, even the 'magazine cutouts' have to be sewn in and out of clothes for the runway!! Fffffuuuuu
