I have arrived.

I made it to Oregon in one piece and am slowly unpacking.

From the dinning hall you can see Mount Hood on the right, Mt. Adams in the middle, and Mt. St. Helens on the left. Quite impressive.

Nothing more to report (Val, I have most weekends off to one degree or another, the 5-7 of September is completely free, FYI).

I'm so very jealous you can see mountains. I might visit you all the time now (and I'm only half joking).

The 7th is National Grandparents Day. I know, random. I always have 3 day weekends, and generally the beginning of the semester is better than the end. So, we'll have to plan something.

Completely unrelated, but I know you will appreciate this given my penchant for Shakespeare "bashing."

I went to The Merry Wives of Windsor last night and am going to The Comedy of Errors tonight.

I'll let you know when my schedule is a little more exact. I spent all day with the orientation team helping other people move in (I arrived a day early) but all are talk was random and of no relation to what's actually going on.

At the moment, simply Justin Burgard (8 Subiaco Hall), One Abbey Drive, St. Benedict OR, 97373.

The hall address is, I am told, unnecessary, but it might be helpful.

On a note about my hall. Subiaco hall is a temporary building which is vanishing next year. It is the lowest building on the hill and is named for a mountain in Italy called Subiaco, as St. Benedict stayed in a cave there and this is a Benedictine Abbey.

Okay, so it is better for you to write to: Justin Burgard, 8 Subiaco Hall, Mount Angel Seminary, One Abbey Drive, St. Benedict OR, 97373
