Okay, so I haven't posted anything in three months because I honestly haven't wanted to talk to anyone about my life for three months.  Um . . . sorry about that?  Basically I've had nothing to say - I spent three months unemployed, freaking out about getting a job, applying for hundreds of jobs (no, seriously, hundreds, I counted), panicking about ( Read more... )

I want to come to Boston! Also you missed the deadline for presenting at Kalamazoo this year (it was in September), but I'm planning to go and listen so you should also because I MISS YOU also The Wolverine -- WE NEED TO MEET SOMEWHERE TO VIEW THIS THING. <3

I am so happy that things are working out for you so well!! I totally hear you, re: anxiety and depression, but still -- I am so happy things are finally going your way.

Yep yep! I was going to get in touch about taking the cat as soon as I have my own place.

Awesome! I'll probably be back in Oxford in the spring for a conference, if you haven't left yet (still waiting for a final date on when).

Yeah, it looks like I'll be in the States from about 1 May-13 May, and then Japan for a week after that, then home. (It would RIGHT SUCK if your conference ended up being when I'm traveling!)

What does your job actually entail, for those of us who are curious?

The last I heard, the conference was going to be in April, so that should be about perfect!

I'm an administrator for a research lab, so it sounds like a lot of copy-editing, website maintenance, managing filing systems, and managing the director's schedule.

HOORAY BOSTON! I'd love to see you - holler when you're a bit more settled in, yeah? Also let me know if you need some housing leads... firstname.lastname@gmail.com

Cool - I may take you up on that. I have a couple of places to look at, but if those don't work out (also, dude, housing in Boston is even more expensive than Oxford - WTF?!).
