Reviews of stuff I watched.

Up - Pixar's latest effort, about a grouchy old man and a chatterbox boy who embark on an adventure. Well, after watching it, and in 3D no less, I thought it was good. You know, I kind of do agree with you about UP. When I watched it, even though it was entertaining, I felt that Pixar was just "riding" on their successes now, like there's a kind of relaxation in their projects and not that creative urgency that I've experienced before. I actually did feel the same way about WallE...

Coraline was very creatively done. I felt the plot was too simplistic for me but probably devastatingly charming for children :) so I understand.

Me too. I liked Wall-E, no doubt, but it just isn't as refreshing or addictive or wow! like The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, etc. Ah well.

I agree that it's a very simple story, lol. What I love is how it's executed. I just have a thing for the blend of grotesque, charm and all-around weirdness. Oh, and the stop-motion animation too.
