You're more than welcome, honey. Maybe you can watch it online to decide whether you should pay for it. This is a pretty short movie, it's like about 90 minutes. Aside from being amazed by Colin Farrell's acting, I also love his character's innocence and dependence on pure love. I bet the soundtrack will be nice, IF there's any. This is not a popular movie, probably a independent movie(?) I don't know. If there's a DVD I hope there's a deleted scene section 'cos I know Colin full-frontal scene was cut, haha.
I'll look online first of course. You never know what you'll find on youtube etc. I don't think I've seen Colin Farell in anything yet, so this will be a surprise performance. ^_^
Most movies with such a theme are pretty obscure. There's this wonderful German movie from 1989, "Coming out", about a young teacher who has to face the fact that he's gay, and it's very difficult to get the DVD, and that movie won awards - even in Germany you can only buy the British edition (in German with English subtitles). But the average het romance movie gets DVD, Special Edition, Blue-Ray, another Special Edition... it's stupid.
Colin actually called the producers and read the script himself. He was so interested in this movie.
I agree with you that he was brave and also very smart to pick this role. Otherwise I would never know his flexibility in acting and alway type-cast him in some action-crime bad boy roles.
LOL. I misread it that Colin was in Twilight and felt panic for a sec :D
AHATAOTW is such an underrated movie I have to rec it to everyone.
I never know Colin Farrell has this gentle side. I would not be convinced if I have not watch the movie myself. I mean, he played a VIRGIN??? Seriously how the fuck fuck is it possible? Then he really pulled it off with his innocent face. And now I wonder why Colin Farrell and innocent can be put in the same sentence. The only explanation is he is a good actor. That's all.
LOL OH DEAR GODNO XD Keep that bible-thumping crap masquarading as a vampire story farrrrr away from me |D -has just a few opinions on the literal shi-at that is Twilight- |D
Wait, a virgin? XD I doubt that man's been a virgin since the day he was born XD Ah well, chock it up to the acting props there, as you said. :)
Awww...I loved this movie! And I loved it that Colin read the book and then hunted down the Bobby part because he wanted to play the role so badly. I think he took 12k which doesn't sound like that much, considering he was fairly well-known at the time.
Glad to know so many fellows have watched and like this movie :D 2004 was Colin Farreel's Gay Year or something consider he did Alexander and AHATEOTW, which were not his usual role choice. He also sort-of "dated" and definitely kissed a scoccer(?) around that period, lol. Colin is so bad and foul-mouthed that he is actually quite sweet sometimes. Oh and he is very gay-friendly 'cos his big bro is gay.

I'll have to look this up (and I too like older pop and rock music, so the soundtrack should be fine with me).

The first clip. Skip to 01:00. Virgin Colin. Nervous about sex. Jerking abs. Thinks he is not adept. Crying after the act.
