In short, I just received an email from Brasenose. They have decided, for whatever reason, that I am not a gibbering idiot. As such, they have invited me to come up for interview.

So, you guys may recall that Fisher's timetabler said he'd get back to me in the second week of July. He was in fact slightly early in that regard, but that's hardly something to complain about.

JF's timetabler got back to me today. Apparently the new and improved timetable goes to the senior staff today so that they can discuss any improvements and so on that need to be made. He should be in a position to confirm "by the second week of July", which is good. He's also implied that he's week-ising the JF timetable, which is also good ( Read more... )

So, I don't know whether I mentioned that I didn't do amazingly in my Latin GCSE. The main reason for this was me losing all my notes (and by notes, I mean translations) for the set texts, and also the Roman Life exam, which sucked balls. On top of this, I've been getting Bs and Cs for all the mock exams, be they language or literature papers. ( Read more... )

It's been a while since the last TCD entry, wouldn't you say? And oh boy, do I have an update for you. There's angst! There's excitement! There's cursing Biology's very name! (Although really, the latter isn't much of a surprise, considering the A-Level Biology course. "Fuck Biology" has been my refrain since about September.)
