Montgomery's second tale of the red-headed orphan Anne Shriley see's Anne teaching at the local school, and helping Marilla look after the twin's she's looking after for a relative, Davy and Dora. Although the book contains many incidents, that's all it is. A series of incidents, rather than a coherent story. It's nice to read about all the different happenings in Avonlea, and it makes it a good book for dipping in and out of, but It would have been nice had there been an overiding story.
Dependant on whether the next Anne has arrived at library or not, the next book will either be that or Pride and Prejudice
