Title: Meeting the band
A/N: How’s this work for you
musicinmytoes “My god does no one answer the freakin’ phone around here?” D.G. asked as it started ringing again. “And why in the world do you people not have an answering machine?” She finally managed to locate the cordless phone under a pile of sheet music. It was Henry from The Zone

“And why in the world do you people not have an answering machine?”
--That is a very good question. If they want to become famous, wouldn't having an answering machine be a good thing? Just in case a producer calls? I know what Margaret's getting them for Christmas! Or whomever's birthday comes first.
“Did I forget to get limes again? Why is it that I’m the only person working there that can get the damned things?”
--Apparently you are because Margaret's promised not to get any.
Is this one going to last longer then a month, and not flake when it comes to crowds?
--No, she will not flake because she would have to put up with her siblings if she did.
...figuring if everything was set up then she could work with Margaret (she was fully intending to shorten that once she got a feel for the girl)...
--Margaret is saying no way in hell.
D.G. hoisted herself onto the stage watching as Margaret did the same with a fluid grace.--That would be the inner!cheerleader ( ... )

I know how it is with siblings (mine SUCK! in huge ways). So it'll be good for Margaret to be at The Zone to get away from them.
*I can see D.G. calling her Chica or possibly once she gets to know her better sweety (I call everyone sweety...)
Bradley, that's his name, I couldn't remember it, and didn't want to delay posting this to look it up. I felt like it should be established early on that there won't be any tension...
I'm really glad you liked this introduction.

--She's still saying she's getting them an answering machine. ;) But I, on the other hand, understand your reasoning.

--I'm sorry to hear that. D: Well her only sister lives in NYC, her oldest brother lives in the DC area, her youngest brother is enrolled at Harvard, and Margaret's currently...wherever this is taking place. So they're pretty much spread out. But they get along - for the most part.
*I can see D.G. calling her Chica or possibly once she gets to know her better sweety (I call everyone sweety...)--Margaret's going to have to think about that one. At work, it's 'hon' for me. Even though we're supposed to call people by their first names because doing so is a sign of respect, 'hon' just works so much better. And ( ... )

-I'm cool with Margaret getting them an answering machine. I'm not sure about established birthdays or the like yet, but I'd imagine the first time she wants to get a hold of D.G. and can't reach her cause there's no machine...
-I vassilate (I think that's the right word) between Sweety, and hun. With my best girlfriends it's Chica though...
