On Friday I was working, but I caught rumors that a new stamp rally would be starting on Saturday...!? The shop owners involved weren't allowed to say much about it yet, but the day beforehand, Amairo-san was nice enough to start handing out pamphlets already though, so people could prepare. On Thursday morning I visited a bunch of shops that I hadn't had the chance to visit yet, then in the afternoon I rented an electric cross bike again to collect some more of the Kannon pilgrimage stamps!

After checking out the spots from the new anime, my new friend dropped me off at Haraigoubashi (or at least the spot it used to be...) so I could get an early start hiking. People are so nice T_T I'd been looking at getting a taxi to get there early, but that would've been at least 10000 yen... But the new anime spots were more than halfway toward ( Read more... )

Breaking news! xD Some local Japanese fans have already identified two spots that appear in the opening of Natsume Yuujinchou Shichi, and thanks to one of them (with a car) I was able to check them out myself Wednesday morning! We listened to the opening song in the car while driving there at 7 in the morning, it was fun ^o^

On Monday and Tuesday I worked, so I don't have a lot of pics, but I did get to enjoy some onsen in the morning and nice food for lunch/dinner~

It's also my first time staying at the annex building of Ohga, which has a ton of Natsume stuff on display ^o^

In the morning I took it easy at Sekitei, because I'd booked a spot on the Kawakudari trip at 11:00, so I had time until then... But I woke up at 6 and somehow it felt like I barely had enough time to check out and get there on time ><  Enjoying a trip to the fullest is like a full time job, lol

On Sunday I went to the biggest annual festival in Hadano, the Tobacco festival! Tobacco used to be one of the main industries of the area, and while you barely hear anything about its production anymore (the biggest local products these days seem to be peanuts and tea), it's still celebrated as part of the history and traditions of the area, I ( Read more... )

On Sunday I went to the paper-cutting art exhibition by Ohashi Shinobu, the artist who proviced all of the kiri-e papercutting artwork for the Natsume Yuujinchou Movie, Utsusemi ni Musubu!
