In the morning I took it easy at Sekitei, because I'd booked a spot on the Kawakudari trip at 11:00, so I had time until then... But I woke up at 6 and somehow it felt like I barely had enough time to check out and get there on time ><  Enjoying a trip to the fullest is like a full time job, lol

Last Saturday I did a cycling day trip that's been on my wishlist for a while! I heard from a friend who lives in Machida that you can cycle all the way from Machida to Enoshima along the Sakai river, and that it's a really fun and easy ride because it's all slightly downhill... for 30km! On Saturday morning I had some time before the Isehara Fireworks Festival in the evening, so I went for a long-ish bike ride for the first time in a while :3 I didn't want to get to tired though, so I made a route over flat terrain to Samukawa Shrine and back for a nice and refreshing ride :3

On Sunday morning I went for a bike ride to Lake Miyagase and Yabitsu pass! I went once before in spring, and I definitely wanted to go again because it's such an awesome route... The weather looked pretty good (sunny with some clouds) so I got an early start at 8AM while it wasn't as hot yet (meaning it was about 29 degrees when I started =w=; )

On my last day in HItoyoshi (this time!) I went to collect some more of the 33 Kannon pilgrimage stamps. I wasn't planning on collecting so many at all, but once you get started, it's kinda addicting... Like a stamp rally, haha. On Monday I went cycling on Sakurajima, in Kagoshima! When I was looking into a day trip to see the volcano, I found the site of the visitor center which said that they have proper crossbikes for rent! Then I immediately decided I wanted to do that =D It said they only have 10 bikes available, so I called ahead one day beforehand to reserve one, ( Read more... )

I'd known for a while that Yabitsu pass is not only famous for appearing in Initial D, but also for being a popular cycling spot! Whenever I'm walking near Minoge, on the way to Yabitsu Pass, I always see a bunch of cyclists struggling their way uphill or zooming downhill :3  It looked fun, but I knew I wouldn't be able to climb the steep hill from ( Read more... )
