I heard some interesting rumors at work today. Supposedly, Capcom has bought the rights and is planning to bring back the Double Dragon franchise. There may or may not also be a Battletoads remake from some other company as well. I finally received a new name tag at work. Rather than being labeled as just an average "Customer Service Associate" like when I started, I'm now listed as a "Lifestyles Dept Assoc," which has been my main department since, ohh... July. It finally feels nice and official now ( Read more... )

So, did it suck? Turns out, no. Big midnight releases like this are actually pretty fun to work because there's just enough of a turnout to be interesting without it descending into insanity.

I was surprised that the soundtracks aren't that bad, either, for the most part.

I'm scheduled to work the midnight release party for New Moon tonight. I've had a trope going through my head over it, but maybe it's not going to be as bad as I think. I just worked a double shift today. The first shift was 10:30AM to 3:30PM, then I had two hours off (it's amazingly hard to pass that much time when you're essentially stuck in one place) before working my second shift from 5:30 to 10. That was... fun ( Read more... )

I think I'm starting to not like the fact that the store I work at has a mature section. It's not that I object to people being into this kind of thing. That's their business. It's just, it's very awkward for me to be asked for recommendations, or if somebody wants to exchange one they just bought.

I can now say that I've survived working the Christmas rush at a big(ish) store. In celebration, I think I'm going to take a 24-hour nap. On a semi-related note, I also can't begin to describe how ecstatic I am that we'll be going back to regular music in the playbin now.
