Winter in Narnia could be a tiny bit scary if, as for example, you were a witch. Winter also meant that there was the amusement of a king attempting to aim a snowball just shy of his wife. Mainly to see if he could get her to jump and partly because it was winter, it was snowing, and starting a snowball fight seemed like an excellent idea.

Willow felt the wiff as the snowball flew past her, ruffling her hair on the way past. She turned to see where it had come from. "Peter!" she said, mock-scolding. "What kind of example is that for our son?"
