Winter in Narnia could be a tiny bit scary if, as for example, you were a witch. But it could also be filled with the joy of fluffy snowflakes, warm woolen items of both mitten and non-mitten varieties, hot cocoa, and playing while safe in the knowledge that between being a queen and being a witch, there was no chance of there not being enough hot

Winter also meant that there was the amusement of a king attempting to aim a snowball just shy of his wife. Mainly to see if he could get her to jump and partly because it was winter, it was snowing, and starting a snowball fight seemed like an excellent idea.

Willow felt the wiff as the snowball flew past her, ruffling her hair on the way past. She turned to see where it had come from. "Peter!" she said, mock-scolding. "What kind of example is that for our son?"

"Better example than Lu'll set," Peter teased, grinning back at her. "She'd hit you."

Willow couldn't help it, she giggled. "You have a point. Of course I might do the same to you."
