This may take some getting used to. I can't say I'm familiar with items like these. But it seems to be how everyone communicates ( Read more... )

I'm not sure who you'd talk to about a job, but you're the same Gauche Suede rooming in the South tower, fifth floor?

Nice to meet you then. I don't believe they had your name.

And apologies for not being around more often, but I've been trying to memorize the layout of this place.

...capture one's heart? What are you even talking about?

And I wouldn't go job hunting just yet. That implies that you're looking to get comfortable here, doesn't it?

The heart felt in a handwritten letter? Are you not familiar with that? That's why Gaichuu are attracted to bundles of letters and such, because they seek the heart written into them.

While I'd very much like to get home soon, I'm afraid I'm not very good at sitting still.

No, I don't really know what you're talking about.

I can't imagine what sort of job would be that necessary on a caravan. And I don't exactly know how you'd get paid, either.

Mm, I suppose you could say that the feelings are captured in more ways than just writing. It attracts certain monsters where I'm from because they're simply living shells that crave to have a heart of their own.

I don't really care about pay, so long as I can keep myself busy. I would attempt to pick up any skill if it's needed of me. To be of any help is enough for me.

Oh, I see. Yes, they're the same. We deliver mail all over the country because traveling is dangerous.

I guess things here really aren't the same as in Amberground.

You are a delivery boy back at your home? Excellent. I will keep you in mind should I need something delivered, should you wish to continue with your old job, that is.

I must agree that this device is quite impersonal, and while convenient, nothing can really compare with the touch of a handwritten letter.

Ah, yes. I'm not sure if deliveries will be as necessary with these Junogam items, but I'm afraid that deliveries are really all I'm skilled with. If I can be of assistance, please let me know.

I'm glad someone else feels the same way.

I am sure that there will still be uses for handwritten letters and other items that can not be sent through these devices.

I could not imagine being the only one who felt this way, or preferring this mode of communication over a letter when the opportunity presents itself.

I can hope so anyway. I'd like to help out even if that's all that I can do.

Well, I have to admit this Junogam is pretty interesting. I'd like to learn more about it, but it's still not quite how I'd like to communicate. I can see how it'd do in a pinch though, for faster contact. Even I can't run that fast, haha.

I think you'd want to speak to Cid Amon. He's the man in charge here. Though he doesn't seem to know very much...

Ah, is he? All right, thank you very much. I'll try to find him.

...How can one in charge not know very much?

It's just that he seems not to know or care what happened to the missing people. Not to mention he can't decide how the caravan's supposed to cross the river. I don't know--I expected him to have more information, I guess.
