What on earth are these birds?! And I know the door was shut, so I can’t understand how it got-

[she stops; there’s a swinging sound and a collision of blunt object + bird, and then a thunk of what could be a turkey hitting the ground. She sighs.]

It’s rather ridiculous-how could no one notice the infestation starting in the first place?!

I'm not whining, just curious, and I think--I think it might be dead. It hasn't moved since I hit it.

They're edible? They did remind me of some kind of poultry.

Can we not get into this right now, there's-- [brb smacking another turkey with a grunt] --they're just everywhere! It's bit more urgent.

And I'm sure there are plenty of ways to cook them, like most foods.

I thought so, as well, but these are far more aggressive. Perhaps if you aggravated a chicken badly enough, the behavior would be similar.

I wouldn't know. I've never seen a particularly aggravated chicken.

It's an interesting thought, though.

They can get rather nasty sometimes. Chickens, I mean--but they're a lot smaller and much easier to deal with than these things.

Perhaps with the appropriate weapon, I imagine. But there's just so many of them--

[have a crazed sounding gobble and another thunk of blunt object + bird.]

[ muted muttering of old english, because Morgause still hasn't given up hope that her magic will start working properly, but there's only frenzied gobbling in response. if gwen picks up on what that is, good for her. ]

You did not come with any weapon?

No. I don't usually carry one on my person. But I've found something that seems to be working for now.

[she heard it, but she doesn't say anything--there are apparently other people here who use magic, so she doesn't automatically jump to someone from her own world. for now.]
