This has been a surprisingly normal week, considering my Grandma died on Friday. I kept a hair appointment I had already made for Saturday morning, and spent the rest of the day napping and watching Cars and playing on Tumblr. Aww bb, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm only just now reading about this or I would have said something sooner. It's never easy to lose someone that you're close to, even when it's expected. *big hugs*

That necklace sounds beautiful and I'm so glad that you have something to remember your grandma with. Even though I have a very strained relationship with my grandmother, there are a few things she's promised to give me as well and whenever we talk about them, it makes us stop bickering for a few minutes and remember the good times haha. It's important to have things like that.

I'm glad that you're doing well, though :)

I'm am so glad that I have this necklace. Now I'm just wondering if there's any sort of mourning period before you can wear inherited jewelry and not seem tacky, ha.

There's a little tarnish spot on the back of the pendant, so I'll have to get some gold polish, but other than that it's perfect. :)

Thanks, I think I am too. Like I said, I feel like Sam's dad's death prepared me to handle things like this a lot better.

The necklace is gorgeous, the next time I have some extra spending money I'm going to see if I can find any opal earrings to match it.
