On account of the rest of my week is booked, so tonight is the only time I have to help get the place straightened up in preparation for delivery of NEW COUCH YAY!

It is purty and sectional and cornery and did I mention NEW?

I want a new sofa, except that I don't.

I want a new sofa because the old one has the front of one arm completely shredded by the senior cat (who got to it during the halcyon days when I was convinced she never clawed the furniture, stoopid me) and it's Nondescript Modern and very boring.

I don't want a new sofa because the old one has recliner sections which are so very comfortable; it's unlikely that I'd find another sofa with that feature in any other style than Nondescript Modern.

Ours is from La-Z-Boy and probably fits the Nondescript Modern category. But it is also comfy as all get-out, which was the primary priority, aside from being a corner unit. We currently have a regular couch placed diagonally across the corner, so this will nearly double the available seating. Plus it has a sleeper, and one of the seats has drawers in the base and a flip-down table thingie (we both think consoles look tacky, but this provides the option of that utility), nice tall seat backs, and conservation of recliners.

Also, their stuff lasts forever. We have a La-Z-Boy rocker-recliner that you would never guess is 20 years old.
