7 Deadly Sins

It's Sunday morning.  I've gone through my typical Sunday morning routine of domestic engineer type things, and got to thinking (again) about my family.  Right now, I'm fairly positive at least half of them are in church, singing about how great God is and all that jazz.  Now, I'm not an athiest, but nor am I sure I believe in one intangible God ( Read more... )

ok maybe i wasn't meant to smile reading that but its like my mirror image across the pond.
i too sin on a regular basis however i think that if i don't feel guilty afterwards then its not sinning. i dont feel the need to ask forgiveness therefore i've done nothing worng and i beleive that if a higher power wants people in his little community that are happy with how they've lived, enjoyed what they did and never felt a pang of guilt over any of their unholy actions then i'm in for sure......otherwise i'm pretty much screwed

Ugh. The one thing in my family's factor, despite the hard-core Catholic factor is that they don't dis my unknowing/disbelief/belief/fact that I don't buy into the dogma stance. As my mother once (drunkenly) told me, "You walk the walk, that is what matters."

And while I walk though a valley of... uncertainty that did/does mean a lot. Because she's right. The rest of my family who goes to church and says all of the stuff does not walk the walk. And strike me dead if there is a God out there that would put them ahead of me. Because f that God.
