Feeling Very Chipper

Although very tired. I stayed up too late last night watching Person of Interest and playing Solitaire (I needed a writing break).

Extreme, overwhelming, DELIRIOUS Doctory goodness:

Speaking of which, beware the Waters of Mars.

I recently discovered this chocolate bar. It is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS chocolate. I have to try some of the other ( Read more... )

I was not very impressed with "Night of the Doctor," but I'm looking forward to "Day of the Doctor."

Tons of heavy water on Mars? Wow!

I'm not sure if I'd like the chocolate honeycomb, but I'd try it.

Violent fight starting outside. Uh-oh.

Well, I loved it. But I adore Eight, and it's nice to see him get a little action on-screen.

It's pretty much solid chocolate with little flakes of the honeycomb candy. Good stuff. But there are other flavors (lots of them).

Geez, I didn't even look at the price at the website, since there's a dealer locally. That would probably keep me from ordering too much.... but it is amazingly good chocolate.

Let's hope I can keep it up. I can SQUEEZE into my old pants now...

I don't even know how it's coming so fast. I clearly write better (or at least MORE) when I don't have a plan.

hahaha so I'll assume local is cheaper. I figured you wouldn't be buying too many 6$ chocolate bars.

There you go. Keep it up.

snort, I find I often do the same. Now that I have the novel edited I can get back to this

I actually don't remember how much I spent on them at World Market, but I don't THINK they were $6....

Tell me again what 5:2 is? I went back on Weight Watchers last Monday, but I'm more than willing to try something else.

You weren't able to do it, because you're hyperglycemic! I fast (less than 500 calories) two days a week -- and I've found that while some fast days are hard, others are really easy, and I do feel a lot better when I eat a LOT less.

But if you Google it, you might find some variations that might be safe for you.

I might look into it. What kind of diet do you follow the other 2 days?

For five days you follow a normal, healthy diet -- I don't vary too much from my "norm," just cut back on breads and most other carbs, make sure I get some veggies, etc. I also try not to eat too much past 6PM (I really disbelieve that "it doesn't matter when you eat" stuff, because it does seem to matter in MY case!). Then on Mondays and Thursdays, I don't eat much other than a small amount of some protein from dinnertime the previous night until dinnertime comes again.

On regular food days, I allow myself treats, especially if there's a "goodie day" at work or something, and when we've had special events fall on fasting days, I just move it to Wednesday or Tuesday if I have to. I will have a glass of wine of an evening on non-fast days, or a bottle of hard cider; I've had cake and cookies, I just try (try!) to moderate, and to be honest, the more I do moderate, the more my stomach approves (and it takes less to fill me up).

I know, I love him, too. It's a shame the movie was so universally reviled, because he made a CRACKING good Doctor. (Of course, he's done dozens of Big Finish audios, and got more--and better--novels than just about any other Doctor ( ... )
