Tonight's TBBT made me chuckle over Amy and Howard's bonding with Neil Diamond music, because a few months ago I finally got much of the Neil Diamond music I used to love digitized, and now I can't stop listening to it. Yeah, shape ups and the like are horrible. They shouldn't be on the market if podiatrists had anything to say about them. They put so much stress on joints and any shaping up they do is very debatable.
Let me add to your list, Saucony, new balance and etonics, all highly rated by the APMA as is ASICS. And so are Tony Llamas, which is a totally different thing but just saying.
and hopefully your doc will say this but when you get the orthotics it's recommended to work up to wearing them, like an hour at a time because they will change things and if you put them in and go all day on day one you might be in pain.

I like the Saucony. I never have found a pair of New Balance I like very much, but I keep trying because they're tops on EVERY list.
I would kill for a new pair of Tony Llamas. I never had trouble with my feet when I wore cowboy boots all the time (hmmmmm.....)
I'm sure he'll tell me all the rules when I pick them up in three weeks.

I hope he does (some docs are not as good as others, looks at some of the ones here...)

I'm wearing Puma now (with a Foot Balance custom sole insert), and he okayed those for walking/hiking. But they're getting old, as happens with exercise shoes...
I'll take another look at New Balance.

I like Neil Diamond, too. But yeah, I ignore "Heartlight" as best I can.
