What I Have in Common With Amy and Howard

Tonight's TBBT made me chuckle over Amy and Howard's bonding with Neil Diamond music, because a few months ago I finally got much of the Neil Diamond music I used to love digitized, and now I can't stop listening to it. I loved Diamond when I was in college, but for one reason and another, I never moved him to CD, and my old albums sat in storage

I like Neil Diamond, too. But yeah, I ignore "Heartlight" as best I can.

Yep, exactly. That song just made me shudder... Bleah.

E.T. kind of made me shudder. I mean, I thought it was a decent movie (I actually preferred the book based on the script more), but the overwhelming adulation really put me off.

Sadly, I didn't see it until all the hype had broken, so by the time I went, I was left with an overwhelming feeling of Meh afterwards (much like I was with the BIG REVEAL!!!!!!! in "The Crying Game").

My husband dragged me, our roommate and another woman to see The Crying Game. I was so bored throughout it, I was ready to go outside and play the claw machines.

Though I did like the ending.

I enjoyed the movie, but I swear, honest to goodness, when we were walking out, I asked Barb, "What was the big plot twist everyone was talking about? I don't get it." She looked at me and said, "He was a she."

Oh.

That was it? Big deal.
