Eleni Mandell is playing at Davey's Uptown in KC on Saturday, March 28th and Greg is interested in going - in fact, it was his idea! Her new album, "Artificial Fire" is due out tomorrow and yes, of course I pre-ordered it. Last time I saw her was the weekend of March 7, 2003 when me and Jenni went down

It's not a fancy boutique hotel, but the Mariott Courtyard in downtown KC (near the Nelson Atkins)is cheap and quiet -- or was when I stayed there a few years ago.

I went with the Quarterage after all because it's in the heart of Westport and has some very nice amenities. We're thinking of staying 2 nights now!
