Been away

Sep 13, 2006 10:33

I've not really felt like posting for a while, and I don't expect it to change. I'm not really feeling the live journal vibe, and at this point I don't think that there are a lot of people who would really notice if I post or don't post anything. I've still got the same Icon on my main page that people were kind of skeptical of in the first place ( Read more... )

Just shut up with all the jibber-jabber and tell us what in the hell you're doing, dude! Some of us wonder what in the hell you're up to, where you've been, etc. To hell with the "e-community" bull, just... write, don't write, it's your journal, do what you want with it!

You working? Taking classes? Where you living? Have you grown a second penis?

I'm trying to reply here, and it doesn't seem to be taking. Lessee, to sum up: I am not working or taking classes, since Deb's doing both right now, and it's much better for me to watch the kids than to pay about a thousand a week for daycare. That should change about the end of the year, since Matthi will go to school, and Deb'll be done with school, so she'll be home more, and the kids'll be gone more. Right now the official plan is that I'll go back to school to further my education, but I'd prefer some perfect job that doesn't require additional schooling. The problem is that so far I have yet to find said perfect job. I'm living in Phoenix, AZ, but that might change, since we're actually contemplating a move, probably to New Mexico or some similarly located state. It's not happened yet, and it could be a while, since it's dependant on a number of factors that are technically out of our control ( ... )

Hm... does oregon have excessive amounts of rain? We realized that since we're both sort of SADD(or is that SAAD... the one where rain is depressing) it might be best to stick to dryish areas where there's plenty of sun during the day. Also it's important that Deb's nursing license is valid there.

I've tried to reply via yahoo, and it's not taking, so I guess I'm stuck with the old fashioned way of going to my page and typing it well.

Lessee, things are going well. The two oldest girls are learning instruments, Eloisa on guitar, and Gaby on fiddle(also, incidentaly, Gaby's interested in math. I think it's because she needs more attention and knows that fiddle music and math are things that I'm interested in). Gracie's in first grade, and is enjoying her first year of homework WAAAAAY too much. Matthi's going to kindergarten next year, but I don't think he really realizes it yet. He'll probably have fun, and he needs to meet more kids, so it should be good.

I think that's everything. How are you doing? Any big news to report? How's your family doing?

Chance is playinig varsity football-lineman. he is also majoring in XBox and girls. He built a 91 camaro with my BIL this summer-god, i'm going to have a kid driving in 3 months! He got his learners permit on monday..

Kaelyn is 1rst chari cello at bot hschool an for the Tulsa Honor's orchestra, and is also 1rst chair alto in the choir. She is also writing for the school paper.

Cami made Tulsa Soccer club's 96 white team, and is in the gifted program-she recently tested at 11th grade level for math and reading (she's in 5th). She still wants to take over China, and has recently expanded that to include all of Asia. She may need you when she does that-you can be her cultural advisor.

I was recently denied SSA disability benefits, and am going to doc tomorrow to possibly be tested for fibromyalgia. Mom and Dad are divorced, sister had another baby (wren-she's adorable), Grandpa died of cancer in April. Next step is trying to find a job and then acar.

Hugs everyone for me!

You've definitely got the genius children thing going! Matthi loves cars too... like... a LOT. I dunno where any of the kids'll end up. They all seem really smart to me, but I'm biased.

Good luck with the driving child... keep in mind that I had a horrible driving record, and have never even gotten hurt in a car, other than catching my fingers in a door or window occasionally(more recently I reached in a window to roll it up and trapped my head and shoulder in it painfully.)

*hugs* check

Blizzard... heh wilbean September 13 2006, 19:57:40 UTC
You know, I'd like to see a blizzard in phoenix... from inside of my house, of course, since the roads are complete crap when we just get an inch of rain. I don't want to think about what it'd be like if we had ACTUAL weather!

It'd be like a dust storm, but with water.

Phoenix, AZ wilbean September 13 2006, 20:01:19 UTC
Right now I'm mostly taking care of kids, since Deb(ryno and my girlfriend)is doing work and school so often that it's much better for me to watch the kids than to scrape and save to barely pay for daycare... At the end of the year things should change, since she'll be done with school, and can spend more time at home. Things are going pretty well so far, so I definitely can't complain. No real news to post, and the stuff that I do get is mostly about this or that cute thing that the kids have done.

tha's all

But of course! My current hurdles are the fact that I'm not so good at drawing human faces, and I have no idea how I want the dialog to go. I'm thinking about actualy combining several types of media to create what I hope will be a striking enough image that it won't be noticable that I'm not such a good detailer...
