I knew you'd write about the goth bus thing and take it one step more seriously than everyone else.

I've seen a number of posts taking this seriously before I got around to posting about it. A number of them are much more emotionally involved than mine too.

Doesn't really change anything either way though. I don't think much of making light of the situation on pure grounds of them being 'ugly'.

How about making light of the situation on pure grounds of them being pathetic, instead?

Depends on what grounds on considers it 'pathetic'.

To be fair, one normally only sees dogs (as in the creature) on leads in public... so I would have probably made a quip along those lines at some stage... though I wouldn't have meant it offensively...
Wicked is a fantastic musical and well worth the watch, I hope you enjoy yourself!

Well, I guess it depends what sorts of crowds one moves through really with the leash thing, though it's not like dog collars in general aren't uncommon in the various alt music scenes anyway so the point might be moot...

Still, I don't really have a problem with a quiet quip to one's friends, though I wouldn't approve of it being done to their faces (snarking is best a private endeavour...). I'm just not keen on making light of a guy being an asshole, especially when it's implied he did nothing wrong.

Hope you're right about Wicked, but I've spent so long sorting out my damned compy that I haven't gotten to ordering tickets yet! :o/

I really enjoyed Wicked, but don't expect it to be anything like an accurate reflection of the book - I mean, obviously you can't get all the political subtleties into a relatively short musical, but they've taken quite a lot of other liberties with the characters as well.

To be honest it was only after looking into it that I realised there was a book :oP Once I realised that I did suddenly get more tempted to read the book than watch the musical, but it probably wouldn't be nearly as sociable :o)

Will probably have a look around Amazon for it at some point :o)

My 'to read' list is always getting longer anyway :oP

Now all I have to do is memorise them then... :oP

Find excuses to use them on the phone or whatever to practice them. I used to work for a repossession service, so spent a lot of the time on the phone having to recite street names and then spelling them.

Well, I'll probably have lots of excuse for that.

Dealing with plenty of bad lines lately :o/

Goths On a Bus. Now that's a film just begging to be made. Anyway, if being kicked off a bus is the most trouble they have for being different, then they should try shopping at the Tesco on the Old kent Road after schooltime. Bloody kids. I topped Denis Nilsen's record by the time I reached the milk section.

Sorry. No seriousness from me, ever since the story broke. It was a waste of paper.

On the other hand, I enjoyed the weird video link - thanks! It's linked to lots of other 'related videos' on youtube, tagged with "clown" and "the Japanese are just so weird". :D

It is something of an overblown story to begin with, it's more the reaction than the story itself that bothers me :o/ I somehow doubt his employers liked him turning away custom for no good reason anyway, so I should guess it sorted itself out.

There are some weird MacDonald things on youtube :o) But then there's a lot of very weird things on youtube... :o)

I think we should save Popstarz for a non-inferno weeked, since then we may be able to convince a few people to come with us. I think there should be a few people we know at inferno so it might be the better option :-)

What do you think?

Aw, well, there might be sense in that I guess, would be best to be able to drag people along with us.... :o)

I may be floundering with this theatre ticket booking stuff... just looked on the website now (because I'm rubbish) and not sure whether I can get a ticket or not.

In fairness, my compy did crash yesterday (and is actually in bits as I type) :o)

Damn. Yeah, doesn't even look like lastminute.com have them :-(

We'll have to fix another date and book far in advance. Still want to come and stay on Fri though?
